Hindi Divas 2026

  • IABBV Hindi School 18 Giblett Avenue Thornleigh, New South Wales, 2120 Australia (map)

Hindi Divas, celebrated annually on 14 September, commemorates the historic day in 1949 when Hindi was adopted as one of the official languages of India by the Indian Constituent Assembly. Today, Hindi is one of the world’s most widely spoken languages, connecting millions of people across borders and cultures.

As members of the Indian diaspora, we cherish our roots by nurturing our language, culture and values. Through Hindi, we remain connected to our heritage and share its richness with our children and the wider Australian community. Hindi Divas is not just a celebration of a language—it is a celebration of India’s history, unity, diversity and cultural identity.

We warmly invite you to join the IABBV Hindi School community as we celebrate 40 years of teaching Hindi:

🗓 Sunday, 20 September 2026
